USA and Iran Conflict

Iran could retaliate by closing the Strait of Hormuz and enter in conflict with the U.A.E and other US-allied Arab countries. Between the closing the Strait of Hurmuz and striking US bases in Syria/Iraq etc, I don't know which one is more escaladatory.

I don’t agree with Iran’s government at all but it’s wild seeing some of you saying this approach is appropriate.

It’s as if we learned nothing from the past.

Does ANYONE remember just 20 years ago how the US and its allies lied to start all the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, etc??? This was not that long ago and nothing of value was apparently learned.

Biden and Kamala allowed Israel to commit a genocidal war, and Trump allowed Israel to create a war

what do u mean by "allowed"?

Israel is an independent country and they don't need the approval of the any president to start a war, which is what happened twice in the last 20 months, Trump told to Netanyahu not to attack Iran multiple times, but he attacked anyway.

Netayahu did everything to sabotage Biden and Kamala, he let the hostages rot in the tunnels until the elections, so he could hand Trump this win.

Netanyahu didn't see Biden as a partner, but as an obstacle to stop the war eventually, From March 2024, Biden showed disapproval to the war and only allowed defensive weapons (like iron dome missiles) shipments.

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

I think Kamala would have done the same except not publicly. The Israeli lobby is just too entrached in both parties, but Kamala would have tried to save face or at least not brag about it.

I personally believe that the "war machine" system enforces itself on both parties, no matter who the president is, unless you are a one in a lifetime president whos willing to risk everything (including your own life). I believe that this Iran situation would have happened weather its Trump or someone else was in office.

This is not a fact, its just my personal opinion based on my observation

America does have the power to control what Israel does to a certain extent, and give Israel incentives to act better, and most of what Biden said publicly was soft of Israel and a lie.

I know this is a conspiracy and not a fact, but I dont believe Netanyahu would have attacked Iran without Trumps permission. I think Trump told Netanyahu to do it because he doesnt want to be blamed.

Yeah im from Saudi Arabia, and Iran did bomb our oil in 2019 to hurt the worlds economy. Some are saying they might do it again if the war continues.

I think the facility is under ground under a huge mountain, and the missiles go deep under ground before it bombs, so I think think the damage can be seen from this view.

I don’t know how I feel. While I hate War, the people of Iran have hated the Iranian regime- due to its major attacks on its own people. Homosexuals there are thrown from buildings by members of the government and women are treated with zero respect. The people of Iran were cheering the US on as they bombed the nuclear sites(not the people). I wish there was a way for the people of Iran to have their own government and freedom without the involvement of the USA.

Are you kidding? We all know Kamala/Biden policies were not good at all, but can't you see how thinks escalated since Trump is on charge? I can't f*cking believe people trying to place all 3 in the same bag. Disgusting

You guys are American citizens can have your differences when it comes to Presidents' policies as in health care, taxes, gun violence, protests, eggs... etc! these are internal US issues that I don't know much about because I'm not American. However, when it comes to foreign matters that affect the world, the US is unfortunately highly influencing of them. Like I said, Trump is a psycho and he's proud of it and won't be afraid to say it like it is.

Kamala, while yes did call for a ceasefire several times, wasn't going to recognize the State of Palestine anything soon had she become President. Biden allowed Israel to commit a genocide against civilians in Gaza, lied about seeing footages of 40 beheaded Israeli babies when there were none, ultimately allowing and sparking several massacres against civilians as Israeli response.

My point is: when it comes to the Middle East/Israel, the US policy is ONE no matter who becomes President.

You can put Paulina Rubio in the White House and she'd still say: "me queda en causa israel siiiii" unfortunately.

ALL world states were in favor of a ceasefire several times during UN sessions; however, the US was the only country to veto the decision in support of Israel. Several US officials spoke about of their unconditional support of Israel, the latest of which was Trump's envoy to Israel who literally said 'in Trump's era, there would be no more West Bank, but Judea and Samaria.'

Now what you said may be true, but imagine if the US itself objected Israel's war in Gaza and atrocities in the West Bank, or if the US stopped sending weapons to Israel as a move to pressure Israel to stop the genocide, that would be a game changer but the US would never do it.

You need to look at the bigger picture to know how to feel. Will Iran attack back, will Iran's allies attack back, will USA's "allies" attack back? I'm also reading on Twitter that Kim Jong-Un would offer nuclear weapons to Iran to assure its safety

Sweetie, this isn't about gay people or women's rights in Iran at all. It's the Middle East, no country in that area is welcoming to LGBTQ+ due to the religious atmosphere of the communities over there. Should the US bomb them all so gays can make out in public? NO. I'm sorry but no country deserves to be nuked over their own social issues. If women in Afghanistan want to continue to wear Hijab, let them. It's none of the US or any other country to change that.

This is about creating a new Middle East; the same one Netanyahu has been preaching about for decades; a Middle East where Israel is the only state that can have the most dangerous, powerful weapons, and the rest of the countries are just below it.
