Who grinlit that cover, its insane :ladyhaha:  honestly prefer it to the short and sweet ones though, this is just stupidly camp :brat:

Meanwhile hoping she branched out with producers, cause so far so bad with manchild, sounds like a bootleg Please³

deserves it doesn't mean entitled to it though.

I'm all for Gaga winning AOTY, but it's also ok if she doesn't win one ever, it doesn't make her less of an artist or less successful.

Many talented artist didn't win it.

That's why I think Bey shouldn't have won for CC, she didn't deserve it, she was only entitled for it, there were better albums on the list.

That's a fair point but we know gaga deserves it for mayhem, it wouldn't be a handout IMO.

It's just really unfortunate that she's up against Kendrick this year and now potentially more competition from pop.

she learned from the queen of capitalism: taylor swift.

tbh, they all do it now, gaga's prices for the tour are not exactly cheap, then we have bey's dynamic pricing on her tour too.

And let's not pretend we all wouldn't be ecstatic if gaga released so often :stalkga: I would. :bradley:

I'm surprised that A. she put out the song and B. She's announcing an album this soon. Oh well..

Not a fan of the cover/photoshoot at all. Besides feeling a bit odd, it looks bad, like it's was a normal photo taken with an iPhone, but in the sense of the randomness and unprofessional vibes, idk. The CD artwork is also ??

releasing albums back to back is a TS move though. Gaga and Beyoncé don't really do that. Sure, Harlequin, JFAD and Mayhem all came out in a year but it's slightly different from doing main studio albums though.

it's a choice they make and it's valid, being able to do it successfully is impressive imo.

I do like the fact that a current mainstream pop girl would come up with this concept. But what’s the message though? Feels like she wants to have a Madonna moment and piss off her ex in the process, I’m not sure there’s anything deeper in store here.

It’s not just a TS thing. Several acts from decades ago used to release LPs once a year. From ABBA to Queen to Donna Summer, Elvis, The Beatles etc. and more recently Rihanna. This feels a bit like Sabrina is having her Katy Perry peak taking advantage of one massive era and immediately jumping to a new one while she’s still the it girl.

Very surprised at this. I knew she would follow up her last album quite quickly but in 2 years. Exactly one year later? Far too soon. Her album's still doing great numbers and she literally just re-released it with extra tracks and a new single, that should be enough to tide people over for longer and she's still got more tour dates to wrap up at the end of the year. If Manchild is the lead to an already completed album, why wasn't it marketed as such from day one? I just feel she's terribly overexposed and oversaturated right now and putting out a new album so soon might do more harm than good. Especially as it seems this album's going to sound the exact same as the last one and could be called out for being too repetitive, not evolving and just being leftover rejects from Short n Sweet. I don't buy the whole "Inspiration to make a new album just came to me." More like "My label realised how I'm a hit machine right now and ordered me to work on a new album immediately."

But I think people are going overboard saying this might snatch AOTY. The last album couldn't, so why would this? And let's face it, Sabrina just makes fun basic pop music. That's not AOTY material, let's be real. We don't know if it's any good yet, so you can't make these pronouncements.

really? you guys really think Men's best friend will be a threat? this is so sluty and erotic, grammy hate this kind of music, and it's very cheap

short n sweet success is only because back then pop music is so sad, that's why it fill the vacuum, but now it just go too far

I get that but obviously Sabrina touring with TS means they spent a lot of time together and she probably learned a lot from her. The last time a major artist really released albums on a yearly basis was Ariana Grande I think, and that ended a while ago. Taylor Swift's really the only one who's done it so consistently in the 2020s imo. Lana Del Rey, though less mainstream, also does release quite fast sometimes.
