I find it so interesting that Judas and Bloody Mary have been her most listened to tracks the last couple years from Born This Way as people discover or revisit her old stuff and not the bigger hits like Born This Way or Edge Of Glory

 

To be fair I think Judas and BM are better songs anyway but im surprised the GP figured that out

Yeah, most people didn't even mention her when they complained about that movie, which is rare when a sequel is bad, everyone usually blames the new cast member lol

I guess enough ppl had enough brains to reason her acting was fine therefore she wasnt the problem

I think Bloody Mary and Judas give dark pop vibes and that’s what these new fans are searching for because a dark girlie figure has been missing in the current pop scenario 

Maybe for us older fans, it’s hard to notice that, because Gaga has been like omnipresent for us and she has always been the Lady Gaga, despite switching her style and attitude 

But this new generation somehow found in her the same figure we found back in 2010/2011

Well who? Every review said she was the best part of it and under used lmao it’s just that she was still in a stinker and disease didn’t really take off as intended. But I didn’t see people actively saying SHE was the issue for Joker. Like even fans of joker who were against the musical (aside from the obviously sexist ones lol) were like why didn’t they use her to sound better?  but like even when she was blamed it was never like…primary blame. She kinda just got caught in the crossfire of a flop

Honestly I get it. 1) BTW is still everywhere and was HUGE but 2) TEOG is kind of a song that just has generally large pop appeal. Anyone can do it to some degree she just does it best there. But the songs that get a second life from BTW are truly songs ONLY Gaga can pull off and fit certain niches of trend and sound which makes sense when you think about TikTok being a place about standing out and niches catching on. It’s kind of inverted mass culture to then sort of make mass culture? It’s weird but it benefits artists like Gaga who have very honed out niches and insane hooky songwriting
