Addison Rae is the best thing to happen to pop music in a long time

Addison Rae's redemption arc from cringy TikToker to glamorous pop icon is the most captivating phenomenon in 2020s pop. She had every reason to flop and become a Jojo Siwa-type of chanteuse (and she kinda delved into that territory a bit with Obsessed), yet she didn't.. Morever -to be quite honest- her recent music outclasses songs from indie pop veterans like Lorde, Marina etc.

Her new songs sound expensive, glamorous, glittery and ethereal even. So to create such a soundscape to me proves she has a developed musical ear and artistic vision. Everything she releases ends up on repeat to me, starting from 2 die 4 to Headphones On.

Her videos are giving 2010s tumblr with a modern touch w/ artsy scenes and visually pleasing shots and colors. As a quick confession: I had somewhat of a soft spot for her even in her TikTok days and now I feel fully vindicated seeing how many people are on board with her new stuff. 

Finally, even though she is pretty early in her career, I was never as genuinely impressed by a new pop girl since Rosalia and I think I am about to apply for Addison Rae stan card.  What do you think of her songs' direction and what are your expectations from her upcoming album?

Not stanning her yet but I will give Addison credit for exceeding my expectations so far and she seems like somebody with a genuine desire to keep improving. The last string of singles have been good and hopefully the album follows through.

Personally I find her underwhelming; she does not seem to have much vocal or musical talent based on what I have seen. Some of the songs are catchy but overall I do not think there is much star power.
