I wanted three things for her next role: no remake or follow-up, no singing and no character of a woman living for/through men

I kinda agree with this.  I would love Gaga in a campy horror movie.  Something along the lines (for lack of a better example off the top of my head) of Army of Darkness.  Or even a fantasy movie...something like Bowie in Labyrinth, where she could still incorporate a musical number in a campy over-the-top way, without it being a literal musical.  I would even be here for a villain role in an Austin Powers or Kingsman type of movie, where it would make sense to be camp.   I think she needs a role that makes her feel relatable and able to have fun, in a not-so-serious kind of way

With the exeption of Madonna (whos acting career was mostly bad PR but she managed to remain big in music), most of the biggest female music icons of all time including Cher, Barbara Streissand, Dolly Parton to name a few relied on acting in combination to  music to maintain highly relevant careers into their later ages

 

Acting is a bit more forgiving to age as there are roles for middle aged and even elderly people. Its a lot easier for actors and actresses to remain relevant in middle age than it is in music

 

Obviously I want Gaga to also enjoy it and not do it purely for career purposes. But im just saying at least when it comes to that, if she selects her roles well, it can be a big supporter for her career especially since so far shes been taken seriously in it more than many of her peers

 

That said, acting comes with risks too. You can waste a lot of time devoting yourself to a role that writers, editors and directors botch and get bad reception ans you have no control over it as we saw with Joker 2. Not every movie will be a big success despite her talent!

Like I’d give in and accept and be happy for her if this is her dream role (If this is even true), but it’d be a shame for her to only do stuff going forward unless it involves music. Like I know music is her love but eventually it does come off like she’s using music as a “crutch” to get roles and Oscars. And she’s still young enough to get many different types of characters, I just don’t understand why she and her team just waste so many opportunities to make her palatable to different audiences besides people who are just familiar with her and not always treat roles as something serious and dramatic. People take it as hating but I wouldn’t be so willing to see her grow if I didn’t like her acting 

Even Cher branched out and did original films separate from her persona as a singer, why can’t Gaga?

Imo the only positive aspect about this rumor would be the musical element, which she obviously excels at. I just wish she was doing it on Broadway, as I believe she is better suited to that environment than film/TV.

I will die- or more likely, be murdered- on the hill that LG would make a fine stage actress, playing to the cheap seats… but she is a distractingly bad film actress. Sorry, all

I truly do feel like her attempts at being “relatable” haven’t been received as intended because for lack of better words, she’s not relatable. She’s a wacky enigmatic superstar that’s been famous since her early 20s. Being campy and over the top is where the bag is at, in my opinion. I think she’s mastered that balance post Chromatica.

Well if its on the making She Will kill for this role. No doubt, doing It back then clearly changed her Life She Always mentions the musical and the experience

Also its a Classic thats more of a Classic for the lovers of the genre that hasn't crossedover, nor has a modern representation. I honestly don't know It. But It would be perfect time for a remake and that cast alone wow. 

It Will all depend on the writting and direction but for the cast alone thats would be a moderate hit. Cause people Will go for a proper musical with Gaga and zandaya. She still hasn't done an actual real musical.. zandaya hasn't done music since?? Everyone Will be Crazy go for that. If you put a male like chalemet in the mix. Lol that Benson guy ahah. The thing could get massive of executed well.

Nah i Also don't really like her acting that much. In the sense thats not very good. But i feel like She has moments, with the right character and production She can do a once in a Life time performances. But her foundation in basic acting skills Is very fragile.
