The Wolf 4,047
Chromatica is far from a terrible album but it lacks the spirit of Gaga's best work and the rollout/era was underwhelming even if there are hints of greatness like Replay, an inspired remix album and the excellent 911 video. People will point to producers like BloodPop and blame him for some of Chromatica's issues but Gaga was experiencing mental health struggles and some sort of identity crisis at the time. BloodPop having too much creative control is simply a result of Gaga being creatively checked out. The thing that has always interested me most about the Chromatica era is that she was in a totally different place when it started and when it concluded. This explains how we went from a creatively bankrupt single and video like Stupid Love to 911 video which is an artistic triumph but I don't feel like she was fully back in form until TCB and the importance of that amazing tour can't be understated. Mars 2,246
Lets be honest, Chromatica walked so Mayhem could run or whatever that saying is
LateToCult 40,650
In all honesty, Abracadabra made this fan base see what a true return to form can look like for Ga. Chromatica was the closest we thought we were gonna get to old school smashGa but now that we know that’s not true, well...

River 112,082
The decision to make the album for tik tok. the songs are too short and I hate it Like some songs don’t even a bridge or outo Come on and wrap that blade of grass around my hairy ass
Alfonso 1,528
It’s a fun album. Very cohesive. The interludes are a piece of art and the way the album and visuals flow is amazing. The sad part is how as we all know, it never got any proper promo other than what we have. Yeah, most of the songs are short and could feel safe (by Gaga standards) in terms of the lyrics or direction but I mean, it’s nothing that doesn’t let you enjoy it (and I must say that even tho the songs are not long you don’t feel it that much in some) Edited Sunday at 08:43 AM by Alfonso Correction
Melodean 8,308
Chromatica for me is one of her best, I’ll never understand the hate it gets. I think I realised how amazing it was when the stems leaked and I heard the amazing instrumentals, bloodpop did a great job and I’m glad she went a house music direction, it’s my favourite genre of music https://open.spotify.com/track/7q1GGm2mBlC9hPWige0C6e?si=6b5319d0e3b44fa6

Like I remember everyone on this site loving the album and now they seem to hate it. That’s very untrue. The FACT is that GGD always tries to cancel you when you don’t like something new. Always. I never, ever liked Chromatica, and I’ve been vocal about MAYHEM being my second to last least fave since day one, even though I do like it and some songs a lot (and a lot more than Chromatica, for so many reasons) Edited Sunday at 09:57 AM by AVeryGagaHolyDick
Emily 982
Yeah I don’t understand what happened, this album is the epitome of Gaga’s sound and style and I don’t understand what happened during chromatica (and Joanne tbh) to make her step away from her iconic style
jackweller 425
Well, I never liked it and never understood how it was her most acclaimed and highest-rated record on Metacritic so it’s not a revelation to me. Just surprised it took people this long to come to their senses
AndiGaga 6,536
Its a nice record but I dont see myself revisiting it that much. Here are the mistakes and errors: Replay should have been the lead single Stupid love music video should be in a club, not in a desert Covid ruined the success of the club banger that is stupid love The structures of a lot of songs are weird
Monstermilo 4,118
imho opinion chromatica and mayhem are great for different reasons, i loved the blackpink and ariana collabs in chromatica, i feel like mayhems great because it has a bit of everything for every kind of listener. from first listen i actually like chromatica more than mayhem but as time goes on i can see why a lot of people prefer mayhem. i still think TFM and BTW are better than both ...
