I recently bought a Frankenstein in a cloth bound book with golden lettering and gorgeous illustrations for 23 euros.. how is this magazine almost 100 dollas?! because the cost of making one is not the same as the cost of making the other. you're literally comparing a black and white novel with presumably a handful of black and white illustrations (super cheap to print) with 4-color printing. that already is a much higher price point. glossy paper also costs more than the type of paper usually used in a novel. the cost of the photoshoots/outfits/cameramen/lighting etc. is also much higher than the cost of illustrating some drawings in a book. the only part of the frankenstein book that would be more expensive is the cloth binding but the cheaper prices it draws on everything else far outweigh that. and also let's not forget this book is much bigger than a novel in terms of page size, which also costs more.
