Truthfully, I don't believe AOC would win and I'm still pulling for Kamala's return and the "now lemme give you a chance to fix the mess you made" tour.

Lets be honest, even if enough people support Bernie Sanders or AOC that they had a shot at winning... the Corporate Democrats would make sure that would never happen

 

Thats unfortunate because I think the US needs a heavy fresh dose of AOC and Bernie Onomics. They might go slightly extreme imo on a few things but leaders are always forced to compromise anyway and never go all the way.

 

I think someone like AOC could pull the US to a more balanced level

 

i feel like somehow with Harris ud end up with being somewhere in between where America ended with Biden and where America will be by end of Trump. Basically only repair part of the damage

I don’t agree with this at all. AOC or Kamala both have a strong chance of winning in a hypothetical 2028. Republicans are destroying the country right now so people will want to vote for a Democrat. It’ll be just like what happened in 2020, Trump messed up so badly that he got people to vote for Biden instead. America will vote for whoever the next democratic nominee will be, at least if we are still having elections by then

Most of the Democrats are doing very  little to stop the atrocities taking place right now. AOC is one of the few actually getting out there and trying to do something. Voters are frustrated that no one is enforcing checks and balances on Dear Leader, Schumer's a joke, and meanwhile our economy is collapsing, innocent people are being unlawfully sent off to prisons (really, concentration camps), there's still a genocide in Gaza, education is being destroyed...I am disappointed in about 98% of Democrats right now. AOC, Jasmine Crockett, and Bernie are among the handful who are not disappointing me. 

I have no idea who I will support in the primary because I don't know who will be running, nor do we know what this country/the world will look like then. I do know I will vote for whomever the ultimate Democratic nominee is, even if it's one of the useless people twiddling their thumbs while the Orangutan destroys the world.

The way I see it, Kamala lost for three reasons: She's not white, she's not a man, and she ignored the genocide in Palestine. And I think the former two were the reason she didn't do well with the average American, and the latter is why she lost momentum within the left. 

I don't think any of these three are singularly game-overs, but all together, and in the climate of that election? 

Undecided voters and centrists don't actually care about policy, otherwise they wouldn't be undecided and/or centrist. All they care about is aesthetics, how they feel about the candidate and their platform. So to take on centrist or even right-leaning policy that alienates part of your base to appeal the undecideds and centrists is a losing strategy.

If the rampant lawlessness of the Trump administration continues at its current pace there WILL NOT be a free and fair election in 2028. So the key question is not who is going to be the Dem nominee, it is what needs to happen over the next three years to restore law and order,

Im not sure I agree with this part. Ur essentially suggesting ppl have to be either left or right leaning. Thats very partizan binairy very black and white thinking

 

There are many ppl that genuinely are more in the centre in between 2 parties and dont fully identify with either and must make a choice. Thats like saying because most people are either gay or straight that bisexuals are people who just cant make a choice. Definitely not true, theres a spectrum people can fall into even if the majority of people tend to be closer to one end or the other

 

Im sure the asthethics ur talking about applies to a lot of ppl but to say Centrists dont actually exist or dont care about policy is at best a severe over generalization that doesnt apply to everyone

 

Ive slowly veered more left over the years but I used to be more centrist as well in the past. I definitely cared about policy a lot. And since online u end up finding a lot of ppl who think like u, ive had a lot of conversations with other centrists too over the years and I just dont think thats a fair assessment

Chuck Schumer canceled his book tour because he didn’t want to face angry voters over his capitulation to republicans in congress 

Hopefully he loses his seat and someone like Jasmine Crockett takes over while AOC runs for president
