I actually think Walz was a great choice but the Harris campaign muzzled him. It was a mistake.

It was that stupid "Tampon Tim" thing that stuck :rip:

I think I ended up hearing about that more than the cat ladies comment from Vance.

She will have time to break from Biden which was poison for her campaign.

I would love to see it. She’s got my vote (again) that’s for sure

If y’all had to choose, who would you vote for in a primary? Kamala or AOC?

@Morphine Prince @PartySick

Kamala 'cause I think she has a much greater chance to win

In addition to this, I think the president should be more moderate politically and in 2025, Kamala Harris' positions should be the definition of centrist, even if most people in the nation see her as pretty far left.

People like AOC belong in congress where they can write the laws and manage the federal government's money. Or, if she challenges Schumer (which I'd much rather have her do than run for president) she could pass the laws onto Harris' desk for her to sign and greatly expand her own influence on the direction of the country.

That's my dream scenario at least.

NO POLARIZING CANDIDATES.

Ngl Harris’ campaign being fairly milquetoast in ‘24 didn’t exactly work in her favor lol

AOC without thinking twice.

Yeah, Harris had her shot, but, imo, is a largely unremarkable pol w/o any significant grassroots support. Perfectly serviceable VP (and would’ve been a good president, I’m sure), but I think she, much like the bulk of the Dem establishment, have failed to meet the moment re: Trump and we need someone who can convincingly speak to the people on the issues of corruption and democracy in a broader way. Maybe Harris 2.0 would launch a more ambitious campaign, but I feel like the era of Dems promising to be the status quo while tinkering on the margins on issues like healthcare, workers rights etc won’t be enough in 2028 (much like it wasn’t enough in 2024).

I have but maybe it's just 'cause I live in red ass hokey pokey smokey oaky Florida :madge:

Much to my dismay, being known as "the man that let young boys have tampons in school" really set off the girls here in the Sunshine State

It’s genuinely so wild to me that people buy into that **** lolol. The story I thought would’ve been the most damning was the whole “stolen valor” thing (a whole of nothing, once again, but at least refers to something substantive)

Well, to get mad about stolen valor Republicans would have to care about veterans and active service members :billie:

I'm ngl, her campaign for 3 months was pretty amazing.

Biggest critique was her pivoting to the center-right to get votes, which didn't work.

If she runs she shouldn't make that mistake again. I think she'd have a great shot of actually winning.

But part of me also feels like if you lost once you should just humble yourself and let others have a shot at it.

But then we have Trump... so anything is possible.
