i Love the Lady

She is a casual fan of Gaga since the start in that she loves her and her music but she doesn’t Stan necessarily. Recently she’s started to write off pop artists when they do anything against her religion (Doja, lil nas X, etc) Lately she’s started to turn on Gaga (granted she enjoys and approves of Judas which I find weird), so I’m not sure what to do. I want to be able to hang out with her and enjoy Gaga but she’s really close to not “allowing” us to listen to her together. She’s making me feel bad for liking the new music.

any advice? Anything I can tell her to explain why it’s not that deep?

Honestly, do what makes you happy. Religion is a concept used to divide people, in my opinion. So people pick and choose what parts they want to follow and what to choose as ammo against others.

I’d be close to banning my sister!  You’re a nicer person than I am!

How is someone fine with Gaga since the beginning yet only start turning against her now when nothing she's done recently is as controversial/provocative as the things she's done early in her career? Hard to explain to someone whose math ain't mathing i fear :oprah:

Bonkers

Stop trying.  You're going to get Lady Gaga rebuked in the name of Jesus hallelujah amen.

And then we're all f*cked

Realistically speaking, there’s very little reasoning with that sort of ideology, just like there’s very little a serious leftist can say to appeal to someone who is very far-right. She’s your sister and you obviously care about her. I think it’ll save you some heartache if you just don’t try to appeal to her at all and keep Gaga relatively separate from your activities/bonding for the sake of keeping the peace. If you want *something* you could bring up all the different times Gaga has mentioned her upbringing in the church and her faith in God — like the clip at the beginning of the Monster Ball doc where she chats up the protesters outside Madison Square Garden to let them know she “believes in God at [her] shows.” But ultimately I wouldn’t press it too much. There’s likely very little you could do to change her mind.

Religion was/is man’s way of controlling man. It bastardizes true spirituality, and it harmed me in my younger years.  that being said, Gaga does have an obsession with “demonic” themes, so I’m not surprised at all that someone religious would be quite put off.  Personally, while I can appreciate the theme here and there, I wish Gaga would brighten things up more.

LG causing family rifts.

My sister texted me to say Killah was her favorite Mayhem song, so I blocked her number

If my brother blocked me because they hated Killah, well, it's just the trash taking itself out. 😂

There's also the 2011 show A Very Gaga Thanksgiving which took place in Convent of the Sacred Heart, Gaga's school from kindergarten through 12th grade.  In that show, Sister Bayo, who was a principal of that school when Gaga attended, shows up during an interview with Katie Couric and mentions that Gaga has done so much to help people.

I live outside the space time continuum.

But all Lady Gaga stands for is love.
How people can't see what is the core of her? It really irks me

Invest in good earphones/headphones and make your peace with it. She doesn't have to know you are listening to her.
