What about all the lives that have been destroyed because of the unchecked greed of corporate CEOs? How many people have lost everything—their health, their homes, their future—because of reckless policies driven by profit at any cost? It’s frustrating to see people suddenly adopting a moral high ground when, in reality, chaos and suffering are already deeply entrenched in society.

To be clear, I don’t support murder, nor do I believe that a single violent act can serve as a meaningful solution. But we cannot ignore the larger picture: this is a matter of cause and effect. When corporations and policymakers create systems that leave millions of people drugged, addicted, bankrupt, and dead, what do we expect will happen? Desperation breeds consequences, and we are witnessing those consequences unfold before our eyes.
