Time to cut the power dead ass, Dougie.

This. Then electricity for the affected states will skyrocket.

Canada must not back down to this dictator.

You let him off easy once and he’ll do it again.

This is gonna keep escalating :fail:

Obviously Canada will get hurt to a greater degree because the US is so much larger but its still bad for the US too eitherway. This benefits no one. Trump get a grip :saladga:

Plus Canada can do more harm to US than Mexico and China because our trade is a lot closer to balance (despite the crazy numbers Trump makes up)

Also our trade is more critical by nature because its less easily repleceable things. This hurts everyone including US

The US may hurt LESS than Canada because of its size but it will still hurt a fair bit

Time for Canada to get closer to EU and Commonwealth countries. We have historical ties that can be strengthened. Honestly I would even support Canada joining EU or adopting the British Pound again. Trump wants to take us back to 1858 eh?

I am praying that Alberta puts tariffs on oil sent to the US or shuts the supply off completely. To add salt to wound, we should tariff Potash or cut off its supply too.

I hate thinking like this because I don't want normal Americans to suffer (I have a ton of American relatives myself) but your President literally sent threats to annex Canada and he started this dumb trade war! No one likes a bully and Canada is not going to just give in.

I do get worried about playing that card so early. The US can shut off vital things to us as well including Oil as well (we did not build pipeline infrastructure to where most of the population is due to opposition so dependancy on USA is what we get)

At the very least if we play those cards we should wait till US is in recession and already hurting and ppl had enough of it that socially they will attack and pressure Trump more

If we do it now his ego and his Maga base will just hit back harder out of anger

Correct, timing is just as important in all of this.

Believe it or not, this actually benefits the ultra wealthy aka Donald and Friends.

How? Instability due to tariffs makes stock markets crash, meaning stocks loose value becoming really cheap allowing for Donald and company to buy a lot, then Trump goes: "nevermind, Tariffs lifted", market recovers and they all multiply their profits. Of course, regular people suffer a lot because of this, but they have never cared about that.
