Filthy Pout 26
I absolutely love Abra, but honestly I think a full album of songs like that would've been too much.
medicub 135
I listened to album and as of now I only like disease, abra and garden of Eden… 1
Let Love Down 63
Hell no, I expected her to stay authentic and go whatever music directions she wants as she said. There’s no need to keep following the same so-called successful formulas. I rather see her grow mature and become a highly versatile artist.

nATAH 46,115
I actually expected a lot of variety, because that's what gaga has been saying since day 1 mother, what must i do?
Blackout19 11,167
i expected a song like Rain On Me (the sound) It takes a smart brunette to play a dumb blonde.
Frost 43
I liked the album, but hell yeah I want more Abracadabra. That song instantly entered Top 5 favorite Gaga songs for me. 1
hELXIG 42,566
I'm ashamed to admit that I didn't click with this album at first. It's growing on me though. From all the imagery, how Gaga described the album, her current fashion choices, the first two singles, I was expecting something different. Which is fine! I know not to have expectations going in to a Gaga project because when you expect her to zig she zags. Abracadabra for me is by far the best song on the album and I love Abra and Disease SO much. Like so so so much. And nothing else on the album matched the sound or aesthetic. I just... need more time with it. It's good music I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

ItalianGuy 11
9 hours ago, Controversiaga said: First- i must say this is, imo, Gagas STRONGEST album since BTW. I feel it is for the most part very musically mature and authentic. I don’t feel like she is TRYING to match trendy sounds like she did on the majority of chromatica, and I don’t feel she is holding herself hostage to one specific sound like she did on Joanne… however, after hearing Abracadabra, I was so excited to her an electronic dance pop anthem from Gaga again. while i believe Mayhem is GREAT and Solid album- I was really hoping for more songs that sound like Abra… but it feels like Abra sounds the LEAST like anything else on the album. Imo edit: wanted to say this also; the fame sounds a lot like poker face & just dance, TFM sounds a lot like bad romance, BTW sounds a lot like judas & btw, ARTPOP sounds a lot like applause & GUY, Joanne sounds a lot like million reasons, chromatica sounds a lot like stupid love & rain on me... but mayhem doesn't sound like Abra. imo anyone else feel the same? Or it is just me Good topic, but Fame sounds like Pokerface and JD? I don’t agree. That is one reason Fame and Mayhem remind me of each other. Fame was heavily based in the sound of rock/glam pop and those songs on the back half of the album and bonus tracks were made pre red one. Then the first half of the fame has the more electro/dance pop bangers, which is not what the entire album was (poker face just dance love game). It’s one of the reasons I personally became such a fan then because of the different genres on one album I both equally love. Probably why I’m liking mayhem so much.
ManMan 1,105
I want more ABRA GARDEN PERFECT SHADOW sound and Disease I shine more in the dark.
TheEmperor 4
I expected something different after hearing Disease and Abra and I was quite disappointed at first listen ngl. But now I'm totally on board with the sound. However, HBDUWM and Blade of Grass are still a total skip for me. Before the release I was also maybe a bit worried that an album full of Diseases and Abras would be a bit ... too much? I mean, those tracks are great but they are quite hard to digest sometimes because of their hard hitting sound and loud vocals (esp. Disease). So now I actually like the idea of also having some lighter songs on the album to give my brain some time to recover
