Los Angeles release time?

I know it’s been releasing at midnight local time around the world, but I can’t help but notice that the GagaDaily clock is counting down to 9:00 pm PST 

I’ve been avoiding snippets at all cost, but it’s been HARD

It's coming out at 9 for California. My countdown clock is the same and any time there's a release that's "midnight" in America it almost always means everywhere at the same time as midnight in New York.

Is there a reason they dont release it the same time around the world? I understand before it was only being sold physically in stores, but now that its digital, it should all be released at the same time.

probably because for the charts, playlists etc it needs to start from midnight on friday to count for the following week, otherwise in some time zones it'll cut off anything released before the next tracking week
