She wanted her for Gypsy which was never made. Gaga's A Star is Born is heavily influenced by Barbra's version and I do think that made her feel some typa way.

She wanted Beyoncé for A Star is Born.  Her name was originally tossed around for it.  I think she likes Gaga fine, though she may not “get” her, and honestly probably doesn’t TOTALLY respect her vocally (kinda like XTina with Gaga).
