Nothing for Nosferatu or Nickel Boys is crazy, but No Other Land getting an award is major. Disgusting that they couldn't find a single US distributor before they won, but I hope it will enable the release they deserve.

I'm surprised, I thought The Brutalist was a big favorite and was going to sweep.

I watched it yesterday and thought Adrien Brody deserved the Oscar... Then I read about the AI stuff and completely changed my mind. If you're going to get actors who don't speak the language, at least go through with it and don't cheat to pretend that they do. And given the film's subject, this is really insulting.

I'm really happy for Anora. The second part was comedy gold. And Mikey really deserves the Oscar. It's one of those performances that convince you that the actress and the character are just one.

No disrespect towards Mikey, but I’m mostly disappointed for Demi… this was her moment. Also failing to see how Anora’s script was more original than The Substance’s, but I guess in the end, in 2025, a nomination is still the best we can expect for a genre film… Kinda glad I didn’t stay up for this.

As a fan of The Substance, that script is nothing we havent seen before, specially on the horror genre. Have you seen Cronenberg's The Fly? Incredible movie, shares the same concept of the substance.
