Teletubby 157,920
In June and July he plays 12 nights at Wembley Stadium, the most performances in a single year by an artist. In August he starts a 30-night run at Madison Square Garden in New York for which 11.5 million people signed up for tickets, “the highest volume ever recorded for an artist presale”, according to a statement from Ticketmaster. He is now projected to become the first male solo artist to gross over $1 billion for a tour, joining Taylor Swift and Coldplay in the lucrative club. thetimes.com No One Cares About You 1 3

Guest
Tour grossings and album sales(when streaming included) do not matter anymore.
PartySick 168,789
If I stanned him, I would unstan. Nobody should be making a billion f*cking dollars off of a tour. Gaga making ~$3 million from every Mayhem Ball is already disgusting, he's making ~$20 million per show (his tour has 50 dates, I believe). I hope this industry crashes tbh. Or at least that these big artists get nothing but bored influencers and casuals that leave before the encore in their shows until they make concerts accessible again. ¡Seguimos aquí! 7 1 1
Monstermilo 5,387
if an artist grosses more than a billion from touring it just shows how greedy they are

Zaskar 4,015
That’s capitalism 101. Concerts arent essentials that need price capping or subsidies. Market forces will decide the prices. If people are ready to pay that much amount to see his concerts, who are we to stop him? The ethics and morals?? Pheww…. If I get a chance to make 1 ****ing billion dollar, I’d make it too. So would all of you!
Gohan 16,772
This is basically that mfing law of supply and demand right? Ticketmaster doing the job and artists being silent about it tryna go ask Alice, tryna catch that rabbit
River 123,426
It's really pushing to stop supporting big artists and just focus on indie artists. I'm so glad that I've never bought anything from Gaga, except for 3 concert tickets. So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
Idefix1999 307
1 billion from 67 shows, out of which 30 are at an arena? I know there were many complaints about the ticket prices, but this is insane, and not in a good way. If you add the concert capacities of the venues (like 20 000 for a MSG show with 360° stage, 90 000 for Wembley like Taylor did or 70 000 for Mexico City) you end up at like 3.2 million sold tickets. That means, the average ticket price is about $320??? Average? Meaning some people paid even more? And seeing the ticket prices for his MSG or Wembley shows floating around social media, I think the average comes closer to $400... This is nothing to celebrate...

Bronco 18,843
Honestly, more and more im focusing in just seeing small and indie acts. They work harder and the energy at their shows are better. The gays know how to party 1
