Teletubby 140,562 Posted 10 hours ago Share Posted 10 hours ago (edited) The BRIT Awards 2025 with Mastercard today announces that this year’s most nominated artist Charli xcx is also the recipient of this year’s BRITs Songwriter of the Year award. Charli is nominated for five BRIT awards, the highest number of any artist this year, for the categories of Artist of the Year, Mastercard Album of the Year, Song of the Year with Mastercard, Dance Act and Pop Act. The BRITs Songwriter of the Year award, recognising exceptional songwriting talent, is decided by a select panel of expert judges, with previous recipients including Ed Sheeran, Kid Harpoon, and RAYE, who won in 2024. Damian Christian, Managing Director and President of Promotions at Atlantic Records (part of Warner Music UK) and Chair of the BRIT Committee for 2025 added: "Charli's songwriting is distinctive, bold and relentlessly innovative, and, having been one of the UK's leading songwriters for a number of years now, has taken her craft to new heights with her global phenomenon Brat." The 2025 Brit Awards take place at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday, 1 March.
