I feel sorry for her because she is so young, and literally ruined her entire career by being rude and cringe on ONE interview . I guess the entertainment industry in Hollywood really does come with immense media training requirements, you can't make a single mistake, or you're done . 

I get it though, she was in this incredibly privileged place, making MILLIONS while others starve... so yeah, gurl, just do your job properly, I understand why there's no mercy for her. I still feel bad for her anyways . 

It is cute that she finally got media training, but it is waaaaaaaaaay too late . Like, babes, you should've done this immediately after your first interview, by now nobody cares . I feel like this film will tank much harder than The Little Mermaid TBH. 

Regardless of its artistic merits, The Little Mermaid was seen as an important film for a lot of black people in the US, who showed up to the theatres, the film actually did ok in the US, it mainly flopped overseas. But Snow White... . 

Literally NOBODY in Latin America wants Snow White to be "latina", so it won't have any kind of support on that regard, the demographic that the film intends to represent, does not care for it . I legitimately don't know what kind of audience the movie will have, I don't see any kid excited about it either . 

I feel like the movie will not actually be that bad, but the negative press already made irreparable damage. The question is not whether or not it will lose money, but how much it will lose

No, this isn't a valid comparison because Halle Bailey had IMPECCABLE media training during the entire press tour for the film. That girl received the most horrible racist remarks I have ever seen in my life, on social media, and still kept her grace. 

Halle was nothing but graceful during interviews, she waited until the movie got released, got her check, and went home. She was much smarter and professional than Rachel. 

Rachel is not criticized, only, because of her ethnicity. In her FIRST interview about the film, she trashed the original movie, said it was creepy, complained about behind the scenes drama, etc . 

She was objectively unlikeable, if she was actually a white girl, I think she would've met similar backlash TBH . Is a lot of the hatred against her based on her ethnicity? yes. 

But she was unprofessional, she actively antagonized with fans of the original film, which is the dumbest thing to do if you're doing a REMAKE . Like gurl, those are the fans that will be watching your film, even if you think the original was garbage YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO SAY IT . 

I don't think she's a terrible person for thinking the original film is dated, it is. But gurl, you want those fans to still show up and watch your lazy remake, don't be stupid, just pretend you were a huge fan since childhood, like Halle did, and get paid . 

It is not the same as The Little Mermaid. Rachel was rude during the press tour, Halle was not.
