It feels like I'm in mourning bc I don't really like it  I always knew she loved these Prince and Bowie etc influences but it's so......direct in it's inspirations that it lacks an identity of its own. I don't listen to these new tracks and think "that's a gaga song" it's like...oh that's nelly furtado, that's taylor swift, thats bowie, thats prince, that's MJ....

Zombieboy and Killah are fun. But not really enough for me. Maybe it'll all grow on me.

For me it's as good as ARTPOP and The Fame and much better than Joanne and Chromatica.

 

Born This Way is still my favorite (as it will probably always be for multiple reasons) followed by TFM.

I was so excited for Garden of Eden based on the snippets, but there's something about the production between "DJ hit the lights ... I could be your girlfriend" in the first chorus that irks me. Like enough tension isn't built or maybe the instrumental should drop out before the chorus? Idk. The transition to the second chorus sounds normal, but first sounds unfinished to me

Yes, everyone's entitled to their own opinions but if you're a truly Lady Gaga fan you should perhaps be a little more respectful and understanding, and also respectful to other fans who haven't had the opportunity yet to listen to album

On the individual song reviews theres so much love for the songs but on this thread theres a lot of negative opinions. I came in, with no expectations and know beforehand when Gaga said in that rolling stones interview that theres a lot of chaos, exploring many genres. So I already knew it wont be a dance album from start to finish like Chromatica.

Anyway, I love a lot of the songs on the album. I have a few likes. And 1 potentially skip because it sounds like a TS song, but other than that I love it.
