Singer-songwriter Lauren Christy reveals that Lady Gaga, Pitbull, Akon and Enrique Iglesias all fought to release “Tonight (I’m F**king You)”.

The song went to Iglesias, becoming his fifth and final top 10 hit in the US. pic.twitter.com/OGTrcq46FW

Wild that Gaga would fight among these people for a song, must be the start of her career. Cos her today would never  :ororomunroe:

This is at least the second time we’ve heard that Gaga wanted at least the instrumental from RedOne

I can kinda see it :emma: I could see her taking bits of this song to craft another big single for Born This Way. Or, even more so, I could see the instrumental appearing on an early ARTPOP demo, cuz it has some similarities to songs like NOBTR or Hallelujah.

might be true because I've heard this before and considering that Mr. Iglesias is a khia now that would have been cute

I briefly heard of her name. :yennefer:

RedOne himself, who allegedly worked on Gaga biggest hits, said that Gaga wrote herself her songs and then give royalties to her producers. She references her old songs in her new songs, she loves to do that. Except "Disease", most of her songs contains repetitive onomatopoeias... She used to write songs for other singers. Like how could ppl deny her involvement in songwriting and say that she gagged over a basic 2010s electro song...? :huntyga:

Some of her songs were ofc bought from other artists but she collaborated with these artists to make it more personal like "Sinner's prayer", "Perfect Illusion", "Sine from above", "Die with a smile",... If I'm not wrong "Nothing on but the radio" might be one of the few song that she didn't wrote and just modified some lyrics. She really loved this song cause it was about Marylin Monroe, and even RuPaul said that Gaga really loved this song.

She bought the instrumental for Aura and used pre-made ones for Donatella and G.U.Y. It is totally in the realm of possibility for her to do this.

I'm still having trouble telling if this was explicitly for Born This Way or The Fame Monster. Because that would've been a quick timeframe in 2010 for Born This Way, and I've had inclinations that the instrumental might have been from 2009.
