Oriane 19,911
So I was trying to sing Disease earlier today with a karaoke version (bad-quality but close to the original one in terms of tempo/energy etc), and I noticed quickly that it wasn't very enjoyable to sing. It's too fast and the chorus feels awkward to sing (honestly you have to try to understand what I'm saying). Gaga is obviously miles ahead of me in terms of singing, but even for her, it might not be the best experience. The song sounds really well as it is but it's one of those songs that isn't really made for a vocal performance. Then I tried the Antidote and Poison versions and it feels so much better! I enjoyed it a lot more and even recorded myself because I couldn't believe how good I sounded compared to the studio version And I honestly felt this a lot more than when I try her usual acoustic versions (The Edge of Glory, Paparazzi...). Which had me thinking... Maybe she got to the point where she just wants to completely enjoy herself in her music and perform the way she loves it the most. I'm sure she'll do performances with the studio track at some point but it might say a lot about how she feels about her art now if she keeps making performances that she finds more enjoyable musically, rather than in terms of setting/choreography etc. You popped my heart seams, all my bubble dreams 3 4
