I really miss this version! I remember listening to this for a while thinking it was the final. I think the demo is superior.

I prefer the final cut. It's much more polished and elevated. Probably my favorite Gaga song. It was so different from what was around at that time.

Ah I remember the day, when DJ Stolen threatened to leak the album if Gaga didn’t make a tag for him. So she did and he leaked pretty much half the album’s worth of demos anyway.

That crunchy bass synth is god-tier.

I know some people hate the demo's violin thing at the beginning, but the violin sample during the chorus slays me every time.

And the bass at 2:57. WHOOF. doop-doop, WHOOF. doop-doop, WHOOF. Forgive my silly onomatopoeia lolol but the Alejandro demo is just so damn good, I don't care what anyone says.

Yeah if you heard the OG leaked version of Alejandro it had a tag on the song where it said “hey this is lady Gaga and you’re listening to dj stolen”.
 

Basically he and Burim illegally acquired the whole album before Bad Romance even came out by Burim stealing it off the record plant’s computer (in hindsight I think it was just the demos, and Burim worked there I think) and they wanted loads of money else they would leak the whole album, they didn’t get the money so Burim leaked the BR demo and they threatened to leak the rest of the album, Gaga did the tag for them and they put the tag on the songs and leaked Alejandro and Telephone’s demos. Not sure what happened to DJ Stolen but I remember Burim was about to leak Out of Control and loads of other unreleased stuff recorded for BTW back in 2010 as well as other artist’s material (probably Bloody Mary and Born This Way demos) and he was arrested before we ever got the full leaks.

The demo vocal remix that leaked of Born This Way has vocals that was probably something he stole and sold before he was arrested

Hell yeah, fellow Alejandro stans!  It is the song that made me a stan.  Initially loved her LoveGame video and appreciated Bad Romance, but Alejandro changed the game for me.  It has aged like fine wine.  The soaring synths, the unrequited love themes, the video, etc. 

I only wish she would do an acoustic or jazzy version of it!

Lastly, released on 420…swoon!

Reposting my 2019 comments on it:

At times I had wanted her to do a literal interpretation of the video (beach vibes, Latin dudes, parting ways at the end of a relationship) but she and Klein really elevated the whole concept!  I also adore how she performs it live.  The vocals on the JWT were incredible!
There's always some form of introduction to it that is, to me, beautiful. I'm a weirdo and have kind of kept track of how she has introduced it live:
