New delusional thought unlocked: A New Year’s jazz surprise. (Jk…)

Ok Im still holding onto that small glimmer of hope. Possibly with the LG7 announcement that night :vegas:

Our only hope at this point is they drop it late next year after Harlequin picks up a Best Traditional Pop Album Grammy nom

They keep missing opportunities to promote her properly :bradley:

It could've been a cute Thanksgiving or Christmas special :triggered:

I think they're saving it to campaign the album for some Grammys lol so it might still be a holiday special but for next year. Maybe it'll give the album a great boost since nobody knows she released it. People might even think she just released the album :ladyhaha:

blessing and a curse. They can release is when she is in better favor. I think completely stopping the rollout and even being somewhat quiet about disease has helped quell any disdain towards her in the GP. Some things have to be sacrificed in order to allow other projects to succeed.

I just realised... Where's The Lady and The Legend? :air:

She has really bad luck because they're shelving everything :messga: We were really lucky with the Chromatica Ball film but if it was going to be released on streaming at least they could've included all the interludes and in full + the full Just Dance performance

I think in an ideal world it would have been a perfect Christmas special, but ultimately it wasn't worth their time vying rights with a distributor for, because the perfect package they expected with Harlequin/JFAD/an Oscars campaign (and I guess DWAS can be tied into that, it just was the only thing that survived the allocated time frame) didn't pan out. I don't think it's irrational to say that 6 months ago, they had an idea in their head of what she'd be doing career wise right now that's a bit different to how things have ended up unfolding. Within that idea, a 90min-2hr special would have been a perfect streamline into the new year, but people checked out of the Joker universe so there's no point in them beating a dead horse. I suppose she might end up putting it out on YouTube or something into the future, but with it holding no fiscal value to her or her team, it means it'll more than likely never see the light of day.

Not sure why everyone assumed it'd get a Christmas drop?  Simply because it's kind of jazz-tinged?  The movie flopped, she clearly didn't want people knowing about it, and they chose to bury it.  I imagine it was a very negative experience for her that she had no interest in dragging  out. It's lost media atp imo.

At times I can‘T help but feel Happy Mistake may have been about partially about signing on to Joker (not saying she regrets any of her own choices artistically)

She posted the setlist on her instagram story and it was Christmas themed. They definitely intended to release it around Christmas.

I do hope the Harlequin taping comes out one day. It was truly an electric performance and brought the album alive in a way you don’t get from just listening to the record.
