Why is Fame discontinued and what is an alternative?

I just found out that Fame perfume is discontinued and I looked it up on Ebay and it's available but for insane prices wtf.

Why is it discontinued and what's the closest scent to it? I either need it or need a very, very close alternative. Help

I guess the manufacture contract was for x long and after that it was discontinued because Gaga decided to focus on much more profitable makeup instead.

There's a perfumery in Poland making fragrances inspired by popular ones, they have Fame too. It smells just the same, and lasts the whole day, also a 100ml bottle costs ~15$, the only thing is that it isn't black. Otherwise, I can't tell any difference. I'm so happy I can smell it again after all those years!

I was honestly surprised they stopped selling it, the bottle was distinctive, it smelled amazing and I thought it could have been a timeless fragrance whether you’re a Gaga fan or not

There is a dupe called 'Lady Diamond' made by polish perfume makers La Rive, but they probably don't sell outside of Europe? Another alternative to Fame could be 'Lady Million' by Paco Rabanne, which at least to me has a very similar scent profile.

Also, Black Opium is nothing like Fame. But everyone perceives fragrances in their own way, so do try!

This is a decent dupe but it is not exact. Fame changes smell throughout the day but this one does not unfortunately. Still I've bought like 6 bottles over the last 2 years since it's close enough for me. They have it in a hand cream and a diffuser oil as well. They do have some sales every so often so you can wait for one of those to try it
