I saw the videos from the jail’s dungeon, this is some horror movies sh*t tbh, people look like ghosts.

and I understand that there are still THOUSANDS locked inside that they still can’t reach.
Im not sure what’s my opinion about all of this situation, I’m just glad to see the innocent people locked for no real reason in horrible conditions, getting out of there.

Yes its one of the scariest prisons, once you are in there, you end up dying from torture and horror, or disappear under ground forever. The rules are so strict you are not even allowed to whisper for years, even while living with other prisoners.

I don't think anyone publicly knows the extent of that prison yet, the rebel militias are having an absolute nightmare trying to fully open it because the Syrian Army deliberately damaged so many entries/corridors/stairwells etc to seal off the levels of the prison before Damassacus fell.

But when you think that it was estimated that 30,000 have been executed there since the civil war started in 2011. There's allegedly a crematorium down there as well. Can supposedly hold up to 20,000.
Honestly, the full links of Alois Brunner (a Nazi official who fled to Syria post war and at one point worked as a torture tactics advisor to the Syrian gov) to Sednaya aren't really confirmed but the comparison between Sednaya and the Nazi concentration camps are undeniable.

The intelligence and horror stories that will come out of Syria in the next few months as they start sorting through all of the government paperwork left behind is going to make for painful reading.

I'm not sure what you're referring to. We just pushed out the dictator Hasina, and as someone from Bangladesh, I know what's true and what's not. After enduring a long dictatorship, things are definitely not perfect, but at least Hasina, who was responsible for the deaths of many innocent students (including some people I knew), is no longer in power. That situation was unjustifiable.

World saw what happend to the hindu people, it was a tragedy

I don't like Hasina, but you shouldn't disregard the condition of your minorities as Indian propaganda. Hundreds of Bangladeshi Hindus are desperately trying to enter Indian borders. Multiple houses of Hindus have been burnt recently. Chakma Buddhists are also attacked. You're own Bangladeshi minorities are reporting it, so why call it Indian Propaganda?

There is no denying that certain events are happening, but do not lecture me about how Indian propaganda is exaggerating and amplifying issues. Similar incidents have occurred during Hasina's regime, including attacks on Hindus. Likewise, in India, Muslims are being attacked. The entire Pakistan-Bangladesh-India region has a long history of communal hatred, which continues to this day. Just because Hasina is perceived as a puppet of India doesn’t mean she will glorify these situations--they have always happened.

The majority vs. minority issue is not new. Are you blindly assuming that everything India reports is true? Numerous fake incidents have been reported and later debunked, with India's right-wing media (similar to the Republican Party in the US) frequently spreading outrageous fake news.

While I’m not a fan of the new leadership in Bangladesh, at least we have gotten rid of a dictator.

I'm not saying that attacks against Muslims in India doesn't happen. There are a vast number of Indians who voice against hate crimes and don't disregard it as propaganda. Legal actions against hate crimes are taken strictly.

I have travelled to states like Tripura and Assam, where a alarming number of people are Bangladeshi Hindus, and even Bangladeshi Muslims reside here. If you ask them, they will tell you in what circumstances they migrated to India. Many Bangladeshi and Rohingya Muslims also cross the border to this day for a better life.

Good thing you admit it.

Even the left wing media in India is reporting it. When you yourself convey that that "certain events are happening even at the time of Hasina's regime", what is left to debunk?

I love Bangladesh, especially the culture and your sweet Bangla language. Most Indians were quite happy about Hasina's downfall but these things are needed to be addressed. It doesn't mean that I hate Bangladesh or I wish for it's decline.

Anyway this thread is about Assad. I wish the best for the people of Syria, looking at how cruel Assad is. But it's important to keenly observe the other groups that replace him and what their intentions are. Some say that some of them have affiliated with ISIS. It shouldn't be another Taliban.
