rinasawachanta 2,646
Last Saturday in Buenos Aires a party took place in honor of The Fame Monster's 15th anniversary. First of all, I think this gives the guideline of how relevant Gaga's figure is globally and especially in Argentina. To give you an idea, the week before, another party was held in another place to commemorate the anniversary of ARTPOP. And I literally can't think of any other artist in my country that would receive that treatment (that they would dedicate AN ENTIRE PARTY to celebrate that artist or, even more, a particular album). Anyway, with that said, I'll tell you a little more about The Fame Monster party, which was the one I was able to attend. It was truly amazing. As some of you may know, the parties here are wild, and they start at 00.30 am and end after 6.00 am (i.e. they go all night long). Well, the party was very well thought out: there were several DJs and each one of them dedicated their set to pay homage to a particular Gaga album. This meant that they would play much of that particular album (and when I say much I mean ALMOST THE ENTIRE ALBUM, usually remixed but sometimes not), along with other songs that fit the vibe of that album/era. First it was Chromatica, then The Fame and The Fame Monster, and finally the last set was earmarked for Born This Way and ARTPOP (Joanne didn't have an earmarked set, but they played Perfect Illusion during Chromatica's set and it was an absolute highlight - they also played at that early point Why Did You Do That? and Nothing On But The Radio lol). I could go into more or less detail on each of the sets but I think it would be an ENDLESS write-up, so if you have any questions you can ask me. It was FULL of gays and girls, especially gays lol, who left EVERYTHING on the dance floor. People were chanting loudly and dancing non-stop, uttering screams of excitement every time a new Gaga song came on. This also allowed me to appreciate the JEWELS this woman has in her musical catalog. The amount of hits and the amount of other songs that didn't have that success but are a BOMB. I don't know if the same can be said for any other artist. Finally I want to tell you that the set for the tribute album opened with a performance by a local ballroom family that was EXCELLENT. The song chosen was Bad Romance, slightly remixed. At a high point of the song, the performer who was leading the dance team turned around and when she came back she threw up a black vomit like in Disease's video, all this without stopping her sickening dance moves! Without further ado, I leave the flyer of the event so you can appreciate it. But it was a magical night that I hope will be repeated soon (I'm already fantasizing about the possibility of them repeating it, given the level of attendance, when LG7 comes out in February). P.S. Finally, fun fact, the party literally ended at 6.30 am with Harlequin's Good Morning blaring as we gays left the venue hugging and excited Edited 5 hours ago by rinasawachanta 5

I never got to see her live, and this party really felt like a sort of vindication. It was beautiful. Hopefully Gaga will bring her next tour to our continent

After the House's performance, the hostess asked those who wanted to come up on stage to show their look to do so and parade! It was fun but it ended early haha
