Lana Del Rey sold out her 2025 UK & Ireland stadium tour

What an afternoon, unbelievably, I got tickets today! It wasn't even the plan but then my friend phoned me and said he was really wanting tickets but didn't have the funds just yet and that there were still some left for our nearest city. He looked up the map and found 2 seats next to each other that were the lowest price and we realised our schedules aligned, so I just went for them and got them! There are new ones being added, so there definitely are some left if anyone still wants any. It seems like it comes as a 2 ticket deal in many cases, though, so maybe some people who want to go alone are at a loose end. Don't give up hope and I'd like to think she'll add more later. These tickets just fell into my lap with no plan, maybe they can for you too.

Not really, pretty standard for stadium tickets for a major name. The prices ranged from £168-300 for seating when I was looking today. The average ticket price for Beyonce was around £254 and there were people paying thousands for VIP. Taylor's were even more expensive, at around £857 on average.

I know she does, I was specifically mentioning the UK. She only did one proper tour here with her debut album. After that, she either didn't go to the UK at all, planned dates but had to cancel them, only did UK gigs as small promo gigs in the build-up to a tour or only went to UK festivals. Her latest tour only involved her visiting the UK in a festival capacity, meaning you have to see a whole festival to see her, you're not paying for a solo gig. To me, a proper tour is a few solo dates at closed venues with you as the headliner. She's only done in the UK once in all these years. Here's a rundown of all her albums and if they toured the UK or not:

Born To Die - visited the UK with many venues and did more when she re-released the album

Ultraviolence - tour was USA only

Honeymoon - no tour

Lust For Life - a handful of UK shows as part of pre-tour warm-up promo gigs only (barely lasted an hour)

NFR - 4 UK arena dates planned but cancelled due to illness

COTCC - no tour as it was during a pandemic

Blue Bannisters - no tour as it was during a pandemic

DYKTTATUOB - UK festival appearances only

 

So, yeah, despite the UK being one of her best ever markets, she only ever gave us one proper tour, right at the start. So, no, I don't believe it's mostly Europeans and Americans buying tickets, she's built up demand here over years because most of us have never been lucky enough to see her, similar to how Taylor barely toured the world until the Eras tour and is now making up for lost time with all these deprived fans all these years.

@StrawberryBlondthat's a good point for the uk dates. I did remember her doing O2 brixton around 2017 and also did have tickets for the NFR tour (and was gutted when it got cancelled). You're right she doesn't come here often. Having seen the Hyde Park show though, it was quite long and the opening acts before her were tailored to her show as well (like ryopi etc. who also features on ocean bvd. was one of the support acts).

Going back to the americans comment, I think it's a bit naive to assume that's not happening. I've been going to shows for 10+ years across Europe and have met americans at every single one of those who (correctly) stated that it was cheaper for them to go on holiday to Paris/London and see their fave there than to do it in their own hometown. For the eras tour a lot of Americans who weren't able to buy a ticket in the US flocked to the UK as well (and even went to several dates). I even know some european swifties from France who went to 2 dates in France and 2 in the UK. It happens a lot more than you think and considering this is a tour for Lana's newest album with no american dates yet you can 100% guarantee a lot of those ticketbuyers will be american stans worried she won't sing those songs in the USA.
