Is DWAS only popular because of Bruno?

It's a conservative song that invites appreciation from anyone, any gender, any age and any culture.

I prefer Disease by a large margin but it's created more for younger and queer audiences. Straight people don't seem to go for darkga except for Bad Romance.

Well considering it started as Bruno's song and he's the one that called Gaga to finish it together. Of course it would not have been as popular without him. That's because people love Bruno and it's a love song, a couple singing to each other. That's more likely to catch the average listener's attention.

I think it was released at the right time and people liked it so it started climbing. Bruno and Gaga are mega stars and one would think that this duo formula would've been successful anyway but you just never know. Taylor and Ed Sheeran for example if you look at those names you'd expect anything they do to be a success yet End Game barely moved.

It wouldn't be as successful as a solo, period. Gaga + someone, Bruno + someone, would've likely been a hit, but Gaga + Bruno = super smash :vegas:

It's popular because it's a catchy love ballad that people send to each other. And Bruno's and Gaga's voices mesh incredibly well.

I've seen it sent around sooo much in a "this is us" kind of way

2 Big artists of that caliber that are huge generational icons for millenials especially made it huge and gather a lot of attention. Both Gaga and Bruno contributed a lot to it

If it was just Bruno it would not he as big, if it was just Gaga it would also not be as big

Also because the song is great. 2 big names help a lot but if the song was mediocre it wouldnt hit this acclaim

Names matter a lot too. Most good songs arent necessairily hits. Only a fraction of good songs break thru

Yes - BUT

I think what sells the song is that Gaga is able to create chemistry with whoever she collabs with. (Tony, ariana, bradley, Bruno, Etc)

we saw this first with shallow and other ASIB songs. People felt her connection with her collaborator, which makes the song genuine and successful, because people resonate with this

Gaga is just great at ballads (Shallow, ARUTW) and while we had a lot of pop, in terms of quality this song came at a perfect time. It wasn't made to be a catchy song to go viral on TikTok like others, but it is real music and people connected with that.
