Gen Z is no Longer (at least for now) a Reliable Group for Democrats

This has been apparent for a while now. The men are turning out to be just like their dads, down to the low level of education, misogyny and racism; maybe even worse. I don’t know what it’s gonna take for the country to wake up, maybe things never were meant to be progressive here. It’s so sad and infuriating.

Elon has also changed the algorithm of twitter to serve as a right wing echo chamber. This shouldn’t be allowed but whatever I guess

The report function doesn't work AT ALL. The internet used to be a much chiller space where hate speech was actually prohibited. Nowadays, I am literally seeing the f word and other slurs casually used in conversations. Just moments before I typed this, I saw a former popular YouTuber use slurs while talking about the election on Twitter.

And it's not just Twitter, the way Jubilee and other YouTube channels are hosting debates titled "15 Woke Teens vs 1 Trump Supporter" actually does more harm than good because it paints a false picture about what debating actually is. It's just ragebait at this point. Neither interesting nor informative but whatever gets you the most clicks, I guess. 

I don't want to be that guy and blame COVID, but I do kind of think the lockdown made some people in power realize just how powerful social media can be, and they have been utilizing it to their advantage.

Young generations were a ray of hope just a few years ago, but with twitter influence (yeah, whoever is still using it is giving support to Musk and trash like him) and all the far right influence they are becoming the best prey. So yep, not the best time to be optimistic

If Democrats want to succeed in the midterms and in 2028 consider not berating more than half the country. I’ve seen more liberals saying they hope latino men and Arab men are deported. I’ve seen liberals telling Arabs who leaned for Trump that they hope Gaza is destroyed. Black men are being haggled. And of course there’s the onslaught of liberals telling people how dare they have thought about their waning wallets. Try not to do that so Democrats can amass a ground coalition because people will see these reactions and not want to cozy up to such people for the next election ESPECIALLY if things go well …

The issue is not with the next 4 years tho rather his supreme court nominees among others long-lasting repercussions. As for him he will always be a nuisance especially with this disgusting affirmation that he escaped justice with the presidential immunity us citizens will have to live with the accountability ultimately.

I guess it's just a reminder that the internet is an eco chamber for like minded individuals and not real life. All of the memes and TikTok's gen z was putting out that I saw in favor of Kamala was cute for laughs and clout but in reality the numbers show voting was down compared to 2020 and gen zers are leaning more conservative.

It's so frustrating and disheartening, but I guess it's a hard lesson to learn that you actually have to get out and have your voice heard by voting and not just being part of the online discourse.

As a younger millennial, I saw each generation make more and more progress. I truly believed Gen Z would change the world for the better. Can’t believe what I’m seeing. So disappointing.

For the general population, there was a somewhat unjustified belief that republicans are always better for the economy. However, most gen Zs are still too young to really care about the economy that much. The right is clearly winning the culture war with young males. Hell, joe rogan probly held more of a sway than the entire batch of celebs the left paraded. They all think listening to podcast is doing research. 
 

The new insult is being a beta male. They are being thought that men cant feel emotions, and winning means more than being right. If you have young boys in your family/friend circle, i beg you to look at their youtube history. Its getting worse and worse.
