Yeah, it can be frustrating to wait but we can usually guess a lot of the stragglers thankfully (like CA is a Dem stronghold). 

To be clear, I don't think our system of voting is perfect or even good, but the more you study it, the more you find it has a little more logic than it appears from the outside. The EC is a mess, 100%, but the actual voting process itself is less fly-by-wire than it looks.
