• Halsey’s The Great Impersonator debuts at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 93,000 equivalent album units earned. Of that sum, album sales comprise 81,000, SEA units comprise 12,000 (equaling 16.05 million on-demand streams of the songs on the streaming edition of the album).  The Great Impersonator is Halsey’s fourth album debuting at #2 on Billboard 200.

The album’s first-week sales were aided by its availability across many permutations:
- a dozen deluxe collectible CD boxed sets (each containing a CD and branded merchandise),
- standard CD,
- standard signed CD,
-  4 alternative cover CDs (each signed) and
-  8 vinyl variants (including one signed edition).
-  standard digital album
-  7 alternative digital download albums (each with 1 to 3 exclusive bonus tracks unique to each of the 7 editions) — all of which sold for a discounted $4.99.

The vinyl sales added up to just over 26,000 copies — Halsey’s best week on vinyl ever.

• Tyler, the Creator scores his third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart as his new studio effort, CHROMAKOPIA, arrives atop the tally with 299,500.
Its starting sum — the sixth-largest debut of 2024 — is also notable because the album arrived on an off-cycle Monday (Oct. 28), and thus only had four days of activity in its first chart tracking week.
Of CHROMAKOPIA’s 299,500 equivalent album units earned, SEA units comprise 157,000 (equaling 212.55 million on-demand official streams of the 14 songs on the streaming edition of the album) album sales comprise 142,000 and TEA units comprise 500 units.
Vinyl sales accounted for 66,000 of the album’s first-week number.
Album sales were bolstered by the set’s availability across 6 deluxe collectible CD boxed sets and a green-colored vinyl pressing.

She's actually got a huge loyal fanbase from her tumblr days, I actually bought the signed version of this album and the last album. I'd compare her fanbase to LDR based on commitment to buying the music.

She has a relatively large-ish (maybe more medium-ish? lol) loyal fan base. I myself bought 5 vinyls (different covers) and I know a few of my friends did the same lol

Good numbers actually. This will no doubt drop 20 spots next week.

Yeah, unfortunately this album is gonna free-fall off the charts. But it’s a great album, full of amazing personal songs from Ashley.

Oh, please as if we wouldn’t go absolutely feral it LG7 get‘s at least an alternate cover (remember BTW The Collection). Also, the execution of these variants is pretty smart, I think. I love Taylor but the execution behind Tortured Poets and it‘s 100+ variants was lazy and bland. At least Halsey did it in a fun way.

If Gaga had the same amount of variants I’d also say ridiculous. Lol

Dr Fudge

Probably my favorite album this year but it’s so not GP friendly so these numbers and hitting #2 are pretty incredible :golfclap:

Been a cuff touple, a puff bupple, a tough couple of years.
