But now that I heard the first song.. and given that Purple Irises is on the album… I feel like this is going to be wonderful pop music with rock and country influences. I am in LOVE with this lead single. I am now actually glad that she went this route. I have always loved her ballads even more than her pop songs. This song is an instant classic just like Cool, Early Winter and 4 in the Morning. I used to be a huge stan as a kid. I had Gwen posters in my room at 8 years old. I am thrilled. Let’s be real, her latest bubblegum pop songs were quite mid. TIWTTFL was good, but it sounds very dated today, whereas LAMB and TSE don’t.
