I didn't really listen to this song much in past, but with Polish radio stations playing it so heavily, I’ve grown to love it more and more. It’s sweet and pleasant

Making HBDUWM a radio single was the best thing that Poland did in many years. 

It’s still kinda crazy bearing in mind that this song was never an official single—yet it has now gone Gold in Poland, alongside all the singles from MAYHEM (and TDD probably also crossed the units already and is just waiting for the update) and I hear it almost everyday on the radio in office or when I’m coming back from work.

So Poland randomly started playing this on radio?

 

Side note, I always thought it would make a strong single commercially.

I live in Warsaw and I heard this song every morning and every night in the taxi while I'm going to work also Polish radios played Abracadabra and Dead Dance religiously everyday. It was a good year to be a Gaga fan in Poland and everything would have been perfect if she could've come with MBT. But it's okay 2027 is gonna be the year I see her in Poland I can feel it (I'm lying to myself )

My delulu was seeing her in 2026, but she wasn't even in Prague, so I didn't even manage to get tickets for Berlin

Exactly! 2025 was amazing year for Gaga’s fans in Poland. 
and I also believe she’ll be back here again.

Especially since website ladygaga.com, during MAYHEM era, was created by IT specialists from a company called Commerce-UI, based in Poland, specifically in city of Gdańsk

The hard truth is that no other single would’ve smashed

I hate to say it cause I really wanted VIY to get the single treatment and a video, but if a song had potential to be a successful single, we would’ve known right away, the week the album came out. The song would’ve become a single BECAUSE the GP made it successful.

This version along with it's 1.5 minute interlude immediately preceding it absolutely SLAYED as a torch song love ballad in a broken down church, where you sing how you feel reverently to your lover. It destroyed me in person I was tearing up.
