They dont make films for Gaga ratings. Of course it's nice when Gaga shines every time but She's not a robot and she cant predicted everything, she's gaining experience. They marketed the film in a way and we expected her to be the co-lead. Apart from that, everyone agrees that her character wasn't properly developed and she needed more time on screen. We know they cut a lot and someone made the decision. And it probably wasn't the best way to say it but the director's responsible for that (not in a bad way, it's just what they do).
