Another thing you said is patently untrue. She actually got a lot accomplished as DA, AG, and Senator.  Even her work as VP significantly reduced immigration from Central America.

OK Idc at this point but we keep hearing about this cease fire from many politicians around the world but a genocide is still going on. Humanity has failed nonetheless and is currently still failing and any efforts you wanna highlight are simply not good enough when people are still dying. This is not a case for good enough. Cease fire now means now not working on it. And please don’t quote me, I don’t wanna argue about it, it’s an already upsetting situation.

The joke is definitely that Israel simply does not want a ceasefire nor a hostage deal, and every politician in office knows that. Dems keep pretending these are real options so they can look good for saying they are "working day and night on it" but the truth is that Democrats have no interest in telling Israel what to do. A ceasefire will magically appear once Israel feels happy with what it's done, and not before, and Dems will take the credit and act like they had anything to do with it.

The only ambition for Democrats seems to be to beg Israel to be a little less obvious about being fascist genocidal monsters so America doesn't look thát bad for collaborating with them.

This is why Trump is actually smarter about this issue. He doesn't lie to the public. He says it like it is: Israel wants to finish the job and level Gaza, and we can't stop them, so why annoy them with an unnecessary show of morals? They are our partner, and retaining that partnership is more in our interest than saving a bunch of brown people, be they Christian or not. Racist and problematic? Of course. More transparent than anything a Democratic politician has said in the last 20 years? Absolutely.

Kamala would gain far more of my respect if she admitted that while she would personally want a ceasefire, there is actually very little to nothing she or anyone else can do about it without harming American interests. At least that allows people to turn that page, focus on what Kamala can do in other areas, and organize other ways of supporting Palestine that are actually efficient.

Yes Harris is the Veep, but the Veeps don't necessarily have power in the WH when it comes to foreign policy. So while I do agree we can look at the Biden policy as a contrast, we can't deny the idea that she may actually take a better stance. She's certainly taking a better PR stance than Biden at minimum lol

I wouldn't call Trump smart and honest. He just doesn't care and knows his voters also couldn't care less and probably would be happier if Israel "finished the job". There's nothing honest about this. He's just pandering to his voters as always, and ofc he also couldn't  care less about Palestine.

This is such a hypocritical take, though, considering literally ALL this time the Biden administration was feeding the news of "Israel wants ceasefire but Hamas refuses!!!". They *knew* that Israel never wanted a ceasefire, and they gave them everything they needed anyway. I still do agree that Trump is marginally worse, but let's not delude ourselves like this.

I do agree. But I also think its worth pointing out that Israel are holding out for a Trump presidency where they know they'll be completely unrestricted in their slaughter. 

Biden has been incredibly weak on the topic (likely because he's senile and its an election year - nothing happens in an election year if it can be avoided) and had a divided congress. 

I do think a fresh Democrat presidency will have more room to manoeuvre on Israel and the international community will move with them. Atm the int. community is a bit stuck as we also have to play the Presidential election game given how interwoven our security is with the US these days
