[RUMOR] Adele Is Interested To Fill In Katy Perry's Vacant Seat In American Idol

From teasing her baby names list to crying over gender reveals, Adele has made no secret of her desire to have a second child, but with her busy schedule it’s been hard to find the time. Luckily, Katy Perry might have provided her with the perfect solution.

After the Roar singer – who is mum to daughter Daisy Dove, three – announced she was stepping down as a judge on American Idol, an insider tells heat Adele, 36, is keen to take over. “Adele has been focusing on having a baby with Rich [Paul, her boyfriend of three years], but she doesn’t want to be touring at the same time,” says a source.

“It takes a lot out of her and she’s looking at gigs that would get her the same pay cheque, but with less work involved, as she wants to get pregnant soon.”Nevertheless, the source adds, “Her team were still shocked when she said she was interested in doing TV work and that she had her eye on Katy’s spot on American Idol.”

Last week, Adele told fans at her Las Vegas residency – which ends in November – that next on her list of ambitions is a new addition.

“Once I am done with all my shows, I want to have a baby,” she told the crowd, adding that she was hoping to have a girl – a sister for 11-year-old Angelo, her son from her first marriage to Simon Konecki.

American Idol starts filming at the end of the year and not only would it provide the stability that Adele and Rich, 42 – who is already a father of three – need to welcome a child, but the very generous pay is a big plus.

“People may think Adele doesn’t need money, but her luxe life in Beverly Hills requires a constant cash flow,” says our source. “She loves the idea of raking in the cash for essentially sitting down and listening to people sing. Plus, she feels she could time it just right with getting pregnant again.”

And this is why the working class hates celebrities right now. 
 

Listen….when it comes to music I think Adele is the jam and I think she is funny and entertaining as I’ll get out. 
 

But if one of the nicest people in this class of people that we deem “down to earth” thinks it’s okay to do this while everyone suffers…

 

it’s time we do something and admit that there is a serious classism issue in America now. 
 

Like…they actually are at a point now where they don’t even hide that it’s not about the art, it’s about the check.

I think she would be a great fit and it would make sense for her lifestyle. Though it would be nice to see her doing a tour before having another child and compromising with American Idol.
