Sean Kingston facing extradition to Florida

A day after Sean Kingston and his mother were arrested on numerous fraud and theft charges, the singer and rapper faces extradition from California to Florida while his mother could return home from jail by the end of the day, according to the family’s attorney. 

Sean Kingston’s mother was arrested Thursday during a raid in South Florida, the singer himself was apprehended in California.

Following his mother’s arrest but prior to his own, Kingston posted on his Instagram Stories, “People love negative energy! I am good and so is my mother!. My lawyers are handling everything as we speak.”

Kingston’s mother, Turner, has legal issues dating back to at least 2006, when she pled guilty to 4 counts of filing false loan applications and one count of bank fraud involving $132k in stolen funds. She was sentenced to 16 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release. Turner also is currently embroiled in a civil lawsuit seeking $100k in unpaid rent for a different Florida home.

SWAT team members raided rapper Sean Kingston's Southwest Ranches, Florida home and arrested his mother.

Kingston's 61-year-old mother, who handles his businesses, was taken into custody on numerous fraud and theft charges. 
 Sean wasn't home at the time.

The reason for the raid has not been confirmed, but the Beautiful Girls singer, 34, is currently embroiled in a legal battle over stolen goods.

A company by the name Ver Ver Entertainment is accusing Kingston of using his celebrity status to scam companies.

The complaint alleges the rapper partially paid for a 232-inch television and entertainment system but, following the installation, never paid for the product in full. 

An attorney for Ver Ver said:  'He lures people using his celebrity into having them release things without having him pay for it and then he simply never pays.'

'He is stealing the property itself. He has a standardized script that he gives people, which is that he works with Justin Bieber, he's a recording artists, that he's certainly is, and that he wants to purchase these things, but he never pays for anything,'

'He gets the stuff and that's the end of the story. He does it over and over and over.'

Kingston has run into legal issues in the past for seemingly living beyond his means.

He came to the house of blues in Myrtle beach and it was the worst show I’ve ever seen. He did all of his hits back to back at the beginning and then did DJ mix freestyles and deep cuts. He got mad the crowd for not knowing his music and then eventually just ended the show. He had on clothes that were wayyyyyyyy too small for him and his buttcrack was out the entire time.

Would people really be impressed with meeting him in 2024? I mean, the Bieber song had Beiber’s child voice.  

I saw him when he opened for Gwen at the Sweet Escape tour and I thought he was awful. 
 

He was the first opener for TLC/Shaggy last year and I didn’t make an effort to be there early enough to see him. I did get there in time to watch En Vogue and they were so good! Some promoter was handing out flyers for an after party Sean Kingston was gonna be at and I laughed.
