Nah I wouldn’t call it a trick. For any other artist multiple versions will not get you to possibly 2M by the end of a tracking week. She was already pulling these numbers before as well, the multiple versions is just a booster and not the end all be all of her commercial success. Otherwise any A-list celeb will release multiple version and attempt to sell 1M+ in a week. Even without them she would at least sell 1M in a week, give or take. You need to realize that it’s her and not the product, people are buying into her, not the album. Her fans have stayed since day 1, that’s so rare for an artist.
