Is it just me or is the song not that bad and kinda a low level bop? Yes, it sounds exactly like something that was made in 2012 considering that's when the original was made but it sounds like a top tier guilty pleasure 2012 pop banger. And there's slow acoustic covers of it out there that sound good too. If it was made by a established and respected pop star with a less cringey music video, it would've been received much better.

Apparently it was written for Miley but she rejected. It’d have a fun song if it was recorded by her.
