mamo 19,057
I'm not sure if ahead of its time is the right phrase? Yes, it set the tone for so many other popstars cowboy inspired era's but it felt very much in the moment. Also at the end of the day, Joanne is still considered a "pop" album with many genre influences including country etc. I do wish the album as a whole was more cohesive sonically/thematically though. Maxine Puth 9,053
People who call Joanne a country inspired album either haven’t listened to the album or have no idea what country is Theres a solid three country inspired songs on that album, we’re better off calling it a rock album or The Fame a hip hop album
