I like this theory. Rock is a pretty broad term though. I honestly think it might be more blues and early rock & roll if we're going that route.

For sure bluesy rock as that’s where the B in RnB comes from. Rhythm and Blues, Beyoncé’s home genre. That album I’m especially excited for bc to your point it’s broad but also it’s where she’s honestly most comfortable. Plus blues rock likely means more typically Beyoncé ballads which I’m PARCHED for

Welp, it's over.

Beyonce releasing in March and Taylor in April. Gaga has no chance.

UNLESS she releases early March but I don't see that happening...

Sad

I would imagine she's gonna go through a lot of subgenres. Just like I'm pretty positive we're getting gospel and folk on act ii

Agreed bc if you think about it, Renaissance wasn’t a house album. It was a dance album that went all over the place. It would be VERY weird if the album stayed on one genre in that case especially if her aim is to highlight the breadth of black contributions to the genre. I also think she’ll probably lean into both Texas and Louisiana style country. There are some notable differences and she loves repping her roots since Lemonade

Wasn't there a theory that each act would reclaim the Black roots of a popular genre? House, country, and what was the third one? It seems to be coming true.

It’s not house, it’s dance music. Dance, country, and rock is the rumored 3rd one

So basicly other girls getting what we want, as always. It's not fair.

We're getting what we want too. We just have to be patient!

This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.

Can somebody explain how is this a act 2 when it seems that it has nothing to do with the previous album???  How does a country album connect to ballroom house one :saladga:

Apparently the whole point of the Three Acts project is that with each act she will RECLAIM a music genre that was created by black people and “stolen”/“taken” by white culture.

act 1: house/dance

act 2: country

act 3: rock

this was always the rumour, and by announcing act 2 as a country album she’s basically confirming the theory
