I never said that Biden is a great choice. I said exactly the opposite. But the stakes in this election are too high. Please do show the dems a lesson, yes! But not if the implications are as grave as they are right now. And even if a reelected Trump doesn't manage to overthrow democracy, he would still be the one to appoint SC judges for the next years, and we've all seen how that turned out when women lost their rights over their own bodies. Please don't put words in my mouth and try to read my posts properly before you reply. Soooo no answer, then? Great, I am glad we understand each other So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted. Monstermilo 5,472
its actually hilarious people think the president is able to wave some magic wand and make inflation go down. thats not how the economy works. gas prices are low right now, unemployement is at 3.7% and the US added 350k+ non agriculture jobs in the last report. the economy is thriving despite what some people may perceive. i mean do people not get that you used to be able to buy a house in 1950 for 12,000 dollars, as time goes by and as inflation takes its toll, things get more expensive - yall wanna live in a capitalist society so bad but dont understand the effects of inflation. trump is legit a threat to our democracy, he has 94 federal charges against him, was impeached twice and legit incited insurrection when he fricken lost. if people cannot understand what a grave threat he is to this country, then we are doomed, letting someone with as much baggage as him run, only happens in third world countries, this type of corruption shouldnt be taking place in "the richest and most powerful country in the world. im an american and canadian citizen, and everyday going back to canada seems like the best option for me. And I hope we still have a semi-functioning democracy at that time for you to vote. Hopefully it hasn’t been “burned down” by then. Concertaholic 6,578
I’m going to have to completely disconnect from all news and media for the next four years if Trump wins because my mental health won’t be able to handle it

Helxig 45,336
With the threat of a possible world war looming, having him in charge again (and with his insane fans fully riled up) actually scares the sh.it out of me. I'm not just being hateful, but I really feel like the only way to ease the fear is if he d*es before election. And I never wish that on anyone, but just this once I am I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
candiedroses 408
Will proudly vote for Biden again. Anyone pretending that Trump will be better on ~any~ of the issues is full of … something. And I have no interest in hearing anything else. I made up my mind in 2020. Will also be voting for every single democrat down ballot & hoping to turn Texas blue. Because you’re happy some people can’t vote. The whole point of democracy is that everyone living in the country has a voice. Everyone. All the good people, all the bad people, and even all the stupid people. I hate 45, I hate what he stands for, and I hate his stupid-áss supporters as well. I want Trump to just d-word already (yeah I know wishing death on someone is bad but he deserves it so lol). But you can’t, in the same breath, claim to be for democracy and then state that you’re happy about people living in the US not being able to vote. You can’t claim to be against an evil while simultaneously wanting said evil to occur

It’s been a nightmare almost my whole life But at least you’re smart and getting your scheiße together. Get yourself a nice American to marry, get your documents in order, and run for office (not presidential cause that ship already sailed, crashed, and sunk )
MOT 3,605
It's going to be some year over there in the US. Previous campaigns involving Trump have been unusual and controversial, but this one is going to be wild. The guy is fighting for his life this time, and Jan 6 plus his subsequent behaviour indicate to me that there are no depths to which he will not sink in his attempts to stay out of jail. Bottom line for me is that I think Trump has very little ACTUAL chance of being the person who gets sworn in next January, but I fear there will be some serious violence at a point or points along the way. Biden is an adult, he lives in the real world, imperfect as that is and he is. Trump, on the other hand, is crazy and is a complete, total, absolute and utter pos. If you have a vote, please vote for Biden.

You can’t claim to be against an evil while simultaneously wanting said evil to occur Still we're talking about someone from outside the US being able to cast their vote in an election just because they happened to live there for a short amount of time. Why should they be allowed to vote if they are not a naturalized US citizen yet? I genuinely wonder if there is some kind of misunderstanding here, or if you are talking about some utopian vision of democracy that couldn't ever be realized. It would also leave holes for other countries to influence your election if downright anyone who has just moved to the US and isn't naturalized yet suddenly had voting rights from day 1. I don't know why you quoted me there. Democracy must have some defense mechanism against its own abolition in place, and this is one of them. Maybe you're referring to some specific US regulations on immigration which I'm not fully familiar with because I'm not American, but I am glad that in my country, too, people first have to become naturalized citizens in oder to vote. RFK Jr anti-vax conspiracy theorist Jill Stein Russian asset (naive isolationism, she even said smth to the effect that America should've sat WW2 out ). She pushes the false conspiracy theory that America is "encircling Russia" with nukes, when the closest nukes to Moscow are the ones stationed in Germany, which is basically to encourage Germany to NOT pursue its own nuclear program, as the fourth biggest economy in the world. Not a single nuke in any eastern European country. And she knows this. Cornel West delusional commie (+ Russian shill too) Even if it wasn't a 2 party system, Biden is objectively the least bad of these 5 candidates. I genuinely wish that there was a better, normal, commonsense alternative like the leaders we see in Europe. But it seems that the American electorate is currently unable to produce such options. Even the third-party candidates we have are ****.
