YourWhiskyMouth 4,013
Barry Keoghan and Rosamund Pike deserve a win for Saltburn. Godzilla Minus One is a major snub in foreign language film.
bionic 43,725
Surprised Ryan is in Best Supporting. I think his prospects are higher in the Lead category. I saw Wonka and Timmy belongs nowhere near this list buy bionic

SevenWonder 3,912
I love movies and by now have usually seen most of the would-be nominees. I just don't care that much this year. I've only seen Oppenheimer and May/December.

It’s unfortunate that such a cold, heartless movie is being regarded as a great achievement when, notwithstanding some powerful ideas/moments in Oppenheimer (the explosion scene, when finally the obnoxious music track stops and you see beautiful closeups and hear his breathing), Nolan had it better before, specially editing wise - you never stop and breath and get to know the characters, as every shot lasts for about 10 seconds each

It was an intense, obsessive imagining at the psychology of Oppenheimer as he worked toward his life’s peak and ultimately the fallout of it. Ambitious of Nolan to fit in so many secondary characters & give them enough script to have an impact on both the story and the central character. Complex, suffocating, yes, but at the same time slick and cohesive.
