She is never touching the Beatles, MJ, Madonna or any real legend, and no one will ever think of her that way.

But enjoy her numbers. And preferably, enjoy them in a Taylor Charts thread so you all can circle j*rk in there without the rest of us needing to see it.

Don't forget the fact why she is doing this re-releases in the first place. Majority of her fans are happy to support her in that cause. They are super loyal in that regards.

In retrospect though, comments like is probably why Gaga didn't see bright future in her music career so much and choose expanding to other businesses ventures with different set of audience, such as vegas performing, acting, make up, and even big pharma money. She knew many of her music fans enjoys tearing her down and such penny pinchers more than supporting her.

A lot of pop super fans are like hardcore video game fans, and are like sports fans. They have a favorite that they follow and talk **** about anyone who does not fall within that artists' interests.

But at the same time, people can be convinced by marketing only by so much. Yes, Swifties are buying albums and variants like crazy but at the end of the day that's Taylor's impact. And at least there's some fun in those variants and Vault Tracks. If Adele released 4 variants of 30 or if Ed Sheeran released special editions of Autumn Variations would they be able to hit the numbers Taylor has? I personally doubt it. 

Taylor has managed to create yet another peak in her career if not *the* peak of her career.

She's topping streaming platforms, has a sold-out tour filling stadiums to the brim, released one of the highest grossing concert films, and the Eras Tour is the highest grossing female tour of all time, and second highest grossing tour of all time.

She is the industry right now.

The Devil works hard but Taylor Swift works harder. Re-recording her albums on top of new Vault tracks, the Eras Tour, the concert film etc. it's just all insane.

Not yet.

Just pulling the Wikipedia numbers, This Is It grossed $286M ($390 adjusted for inflation), while Eras did $230M so far. I don't see Eras surpassing $390M 

Though technically Eras Tour is listed as the highest grossing concert film since it seems This Is It is classified as a documentary. But I still count it as a concert/documentary film.

In any case, Eras tour is one of the highest grossing concert films of all time, second to MJ's.

Edit: I forgot to mention Eras released in some international regions this past weekend. They were almost filled where I'm from but I couldn't go. I really hope they're still showing it this weekend.
