For what I think is, that, even with the religious clashes, the land should have been shared. But we know both sides don't want that. 

The inherent problem here though is not who was there centuries ago—though there is even then some debate on that—its who was there when the west promised Israel to the Jews.

At that time, that land was most certainly not a Jewish nation and hadn’t been for quite some time. The allies didn’t really have the right to give that land away, but they did. This led to the people who had by then been living there as long as anyone living and even beyond could remember being forced out. 

Israel is a settler nation. No matter what group of people was there centuries ago, there was a different group of people there then. It was not the west’s land to give away just as it was not those who accepted it’s land to take.

Whatever is going to happened in Gaza in the next few weeks, is solely on Hamas, and yes, this is very sad.

Israeli warplanes are also massacring Palestinians families in Gaza, bombing hospitals and literally any civilian areas. Israel has just cut water off, preventing 2 million people, half of whom are children, from accessing water. Who's the real human animals here?
