This war effects the entire existence of Israel and its people, so I dont think Israel will care much about hostages, and alot of them are already dying by Israeli strikes on Gaza. Not to mention more Israeli citizens are dying by the hour than the number of hostages.

An invasion of the strip almost guarantees their executions though. Because why keep hostages if the enemy isn't going to barter

I trust that the army will do its best to free most hostages alive. Hamas will kill the hostages sooner or later anyway. You can’t make deals with a terrorist organization

I mean you can. Israel did it in 2011 for Gilad Shalit who had been a Hamas hostage since 2006. The US does it regularly with Iran and others. The UK regularly did it with the IRA. 
That's why hostages get taken. 

But a hostage is only valuable when the taker believes that the other side will engage with them. As soon as Hamas belives the hostages have no value, they'll slaughter them.

I wish neighbouring countries could help the innocent people and take them in. Places like Saudi have so much money and resources, they could easily do it.

Just in: 12 Rockets reportedly fired from Lebanon towards Israel. One of them fell on an open field.

I've just seen a very disturbing image of Israel soldiers surrounding a group of Palestinians on the ground completely naked, tied up and blindfolded. They even put numbers of their backs as if they were animals. Idk I should post it here.
