It's actually kinda appropriate tbh.

9/11 was perpetuated by terrorists that rose from militant groups the US itself armed, trained, and used as proxy soldiers against Russia during the cold war AND it was a response to the US f*cking around in the middle east.

And the response to those terrorist attacks (who existed solely because of American interference) was wildly disproportionate and inappropriate.

Al Queda killed 3000 of our people on that awful day - our country suddenly became almost entirely anti-Muslim, we went over there, invaded the wrong country, and killed over a million people (not soldiers, not terrorists, PEOPLE), sent drone strikes into schools, homes, and hospitals, toppled governments with dictators that we installed, occupied nations, empowered terrorist groups that we helped create, etc etc then came home 20 years later like nothing happened.

So yeah, Israel being a mini-America is a fantastic analogy, actually.

The US was hit hard on 9/11 just like Israel was hit hard by Hamas. Both terrible tragedies born out of an extreme reaction to both nations' insistence on being imperial monsters.
