Maybe now she’ll put a pause on the brand deals for the moment since she doesn't have an extra cheque potentially hanging over her head :vegas:

Kidding, love the brand deal/Joker 2 era so far :billie:

Are people surprised? Thought this was gonna be obvious, based solely on the fact that you have to have “clean hands” if suing for something like this :laughga:

It's so good to hear a judge make this clear. I've seen so many chancers try to act like they're the good guy when they were actually doing illegal stuff and acting entitled to do it. Saying something like "no questions asked" is said in the hopes that the person looking to claim the reward is going to play ball and isn't just looking to gain money in bad faith.

The worst one I saw was a thief who broke into a family's garage while they were on holiday without realising that the door was faulty and it slammed shut, locking him in with no way to get back out and he survived the entire time they were away by drinking from a tank of water and a bag of dog food. When the family got back and found him in the garage, he tried to sue them for not making it clear that the door was faulty by putting a notice outside. I don't think he won, thank goodness. Some people are extraordinary.

And you know the lawyers taking up this case know the people won’t win they just want the easy money lmao

Sad to find out upon trying to research this case to see if I'd remembered wrongly and he did win, that the case was proven to part of a hoax list of apparent court cases that resulted in payouts for people's wrongdoing. Snopes showed it was all fake and had been circulating online since 2001 but any attempt to find any records of these cases pulls up nothing. Kinda a good thing it didn't happen after all but it's not as funny now we know it isn't true. But it did provide some ones that are actually true though they didn't result in payouts. The most notable being an Idaho college student who unsuccessfully sued the institution after falling from a third floor dorm window...because he was leaning out of it mooning his fellow students at the time. Thing is, we laugh about all this but so many people have tried it that it makes you wonder if we're all laughing in agreement when we hear about these cases because clearly, there's a lot more brass neck out there than we give credit for and you know there must be someone out there thinking "well, I thought it seemed reasonable..."
