Elon Musk and Grimes told author Walter Isaacson, who is writing a biography of Musk, about their first few dates together.
They had their first date in a Tesla factory. Grimes said: “We just walked the floor all night and I watched him try to fix things.”

Musk drove Grimes to a restaurant in his Tesla the very next night, hitting the gas, taking his hands off the wheel and closing his eyes while the car was using the carmaker's Autopilot driver assist feature. The Tesla CEO later carved the couple's initials into the wall of the restaurant, Isaacson writes.

Musk quizzed Grimes on "Lord of the Rings" to test out whether she was a "truly faithful fan." The singer told Isaacson she gave Musk a box full of animal bones she had collected and the two would listen to history podcasts and audiobooks before bed. source
